In 2018, the best bull riders on the planet will journey down under where the Australians will look to defend home soil as the PBR Global Cup heads to Sydney, Australia’s, Qudos Bank Arena June 9-10, 2018.
Led by fourteen of Australia's top cowboys, the Australians will set their sights on world domination as they battle against Brazil, Mexico, Canada and the United States for bragging rights and the honor of being named the world's best. The two-day event becomes the second stop on PBR's Global Cup international tour.
Edmonton | November 9-11, 2017
The inaugural Global Cup event was hosted in November 2017 at the state-of-the-art Rogers Place in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.
The three-day event, produced in partnership with Oilers Entertainment Group (OEG), featured the second-largest bull riding prize payout in North America, second only to the PBR World Finals.
In a dramatic showing, five countries battled it out for the bragging rights as the best country on dirt. When the dust settled, Team USA comprised of 2016 PBR World Champion Cooper Davis, Derek Kolbaba, Brennon Eldred, Cole Melancon, Stormy Wing, 2009 PBR Rookie of the Year Cody Nance, 2012 PRCA Champion Cody Teel and coached by PBR legend and two-time PBR World Champion Justin McBride, walked away as champions.
