The Great Western Hotel would like to confirm the PBR event recently announced, that was to be held Saturday the 12 May, has moved its date. The Great Western Hotel and Professional Bull Riders Australia are extremely saddened to hear of the heartbreaking road ahead for Kye Funch, family and friends. Those closest to this brave young boy have been working tirelessly to put together a fundraiser for Saturday 12th May. Although plans were well underway when news of this came to the attention of management, Professional Bull Riders Australia and the Great Western Hotel agreed that there was just one simple solution – Move the PBR! The new date is Friday 11 May. The Great Western is the hub for Bull Riding and Rodeo in Central Queensland. Owners Colin and Vicki Bowden are staunch supporters of the sport and many young rodeo athletes. They along with PBRA will be supporting the Funch family and friends with the fund-raising efforts – It’s just what country folk do.
