Rutherfurd and Andersen join Fielder in the Lonestar State for 2024 PBR Teams

As the 2024 PBR Teams Series sneaks closer and closer to opening day on July 12-14 at OKC, the Ariat Texas Rattlers have added a pair of Australians to their 12-man roster to join 2023 Rattlers star Brady Fielder in the Orange and Black vests.

After being selected by the Arizona Ridge Riders during last month's expansion draft, Qynn Andersen was poached by 2023 PBR Teams coach of the year Cody Lambert from the Ridge Riders' unprotected roster.

The Komaula, QLD Cowboy signed the dotted line to become a Rattler and will be looking to add to his 2-from-12 teams record heading into this season after earning a maiden PBR World Finals ticket earlier this month.

Fellow Queenslander Donnie Rutherfurd will be looking to make his mark on the PBR Teams competition, with the Mt Isa Cowboy selected by the Rattlers with the 19th overall pick in the 2024 PBR Teams New Riders Draft.

Rutherfurd has an incredibly solid 2024 in the US TPD tour, gaining three top 5 finishes from six events across the season. He also picked up a 2nd place event finish at last season's PBR Australia Grand Final in Townsville, going 3-from-5 across the event and picking up his first PBRA event buckle at Winton in 2023.

Donnie will be one of four Rattlers on the roster without a PBR Teams out under their belt heading into 2024 but will be a crucial part of the depth chart, with only five left-handed riders currently on the books for the Lonestar-based franchise.

These two will also be joined by Brady Fielder, heading into his fourth season under the Rattlers umbrella, with the Clermont Cowboy on the team's protected roster.

Fielder's 17-from-46 across the Teams Series to date is far from shabby, but count on the 2024 World #8 to push for the series MVP and win Coach Lambert and the Rattlers plenty of games this season.
