There was plenty of action for the Australian's in the US PBR circuit this past weekend, with the Unleash The Beast tour rolling into Salt Lake City, Utah featuring Callum Miller and Brady Fielder as well as Velocity and Tour Pro Division events across Texas that saw Cody Fraser and Qynn Anderson flying the flag for Australia.

Get up to speed with everything you might of missed with this week's edition of Aussies Abroad.

Unleash The Beast Tour: Salt Lake City, Utah

As the UTB Tour rolled into it's 11th stop of the 2024 PBR individual season at Salt Lake City, Utah two Australian's were on the bill as the big show of Bull Riding returned to the Delta Centre for the first time since 2020.

Round one saw Callum Miller, who was fresh off a career event the week prior in Sacramento, CA going 3-for-4 and grabbing his first trip to the pay window in the big leagues, was tasked with being the first ever rider to attempt Cocky (Ben Lofthouse) who was on his PBR Debut. The bovine was able to get the better of Miller in 3.47 seconds on a diffcult trip for the Warwick cowboy away from his hand.

Fellow Aussie Brady Fielder was also unable to find the whistle during the opening night in Utah, with Pete's Dejavu (JD Nix Rodeo Co) proving why he's 12-0 against right hand riders getting the slap from Fielder in 3.22 seconds, after an incredibly uncomfortable trip for the rider with the bovine athlete coming out backwards and turning back to the left away from the Clermont cowboy's hand.

Round two was a familiar story to the night before for our Aussies with Miller running into a red hot Bo Man (D&H Cattle Co) who is now 6-0 on the season, ejecting Miller from his bull rope in 4.07 seconds showing fantastic intensity around to the right and grabbing 44.25 as a bull score marker.

Fielder's Round 2 dance partner was Cash Is King (Phenom Genetics / Dragonetics / Sankey / Basham) provided too much power at the front end for Brady to handle and unfortunately was bucked off in 2.62 seconds.

With the UTB tour heading onto the Los Angles this weekend, Miller currently 30th on the Premier Tour with 3-from-8 (37%) across the three events he has rode in thus far and the aforementioned Fielder will be looking to secure as spot back in the top 10, currently sitting 11-from-26 (42%) on the season to date.

Velocity Tour: Cedar Park, Texas

Qynn Andersen was flying the flag for the Aussie's in this weekend's Velocity Tour Event in Cedar Park, Texas and was looking to push his way back into the top 5 in the standings before the next promotion to the UTB tour.

In Round 1 Andersen drew Almost Sober (Wacey Hart / Plummer) but after a foul re-ride was awarded to the Queenslander, the re-ride opportunity unfortunately with Rollo (Cooper/ Scruggs Bucking Bulls) getting the chocolates. The bovine came out left away from the righty's hand and Qynn was called for a slap in 1.21 seconds.

The Koumala native now sits 9th in the 2024 Velocity Standings 4-12 (33%) and will be hoping this weekend he can find the whistle and earn himself a ticket back to the UTB tour.

TPD Stockyard Showcase: Fort Worth,Texas

Fort Worth's Stockyard Showcase leapt into action for another weekend and Cody Fraser was on call during Thursday Night's action. Fraser was unable to handle the bull power of Eyes On Me (JD Nix Rodeo Co), bucking off in 3.67 seconds after 4-5 jumps into his hand which was earmarked at a 42.5-point bull score.
