ELNORA, Alberta – Marking his first Canadian event since 2016, Justin Paton (Nebo, Queensland, Australia) went 1-for-2 Saturday night at the Elnora Agricultural Grounds to win the 20th Annual Elnora Brahma Rama.

The victory, his third of the season across all levels of PBR competition, was backed by a Round 1-winning 85-point trip aboard Kool Aid (R Saga Ranch).

For his efforts, he earned $5,689.33, in addition to 275 Canadian and 60 world points. After beginning the event ranked No. 54 in the world standings, the Australian rose to No. 46, now 116.68 points behind No. 35 Matt Triplett (Columbia Falls, Montana).

Paton notably sustained a torn right PCL in February 2017, which while it was supposed to sideline him for 12 weeks, kept him out of action until the most recent leg of the PBR Global Cup in Sydney, Australia in June.

Since, including his most recent win, the 26-year-old has recorded three event wins, 11 Top-5s and 15 Top 10s.
